The Proper Bio
Sarah Southerland lives in Arizona with her family and enough animals to qualify her home as a zoo. Her first book, Not Another Sarah, was published in 2006, and then she took a long break to raise her three kids. When she’s not writing, she reads a lot, maintains her social media accounts, takes care of her family, and cleans up after her animals.
The Real Bio
Sarah believes diet Pepsi has medicinal values when mixed with a squirt of vanilla and poured over pellet ice. She has a teenager and two adult children even though she’s obviously not old enough to have adult children. Her hobbies are varied and rather bizarre (because of the snakes) which most likely explains why she has never been invited to join a Bunco group (and not the fact that she has no idea how to play Bunco). Also she was voted “Cutest Girl” in the 6thgrade in an illegal class poll that the cool kids conducted in the bathrooms during recess. Because it was against school policy, there’s no actual proof of her winning. But it still counts.
Years ago, Sarah dreamt of being famous for her expertise on dating violence and abuse. Since that never actually happened, she is mostly satisfied with being “sort of famous” online for her love of reptiles, her 10-pound, toddler-like lizard named Dobby, and the overbearing, over-loving tortoise Otis who likes to interrupt online meetings.
And she loves Flamingos!
About to graduate from college and recovering from a broken heart, Katie finds herself uninterested in the carefree life she used to love. A university professor, Brock leads a well-ordered life that allows him to function as normally as possible for being completely blind. Neither had planned to spend much time in Idaho over their summer break, but fate intervenes in an unexpected way. Can Katie learn how to find happiness again in a new light? Can Brock keep his life steady and predictable at the same time he helps Katie find her own way ahead?
A sweet, contemporary romance about starting over, second chances, and seeing people’s hearts.
